For peace of mind, World Link Education's China Programs offer travel and medical insurance through ISIS Insurance complemented by ISOS Medical Membership. The ISIS Insurance Language Policy is included the total program fees.
This insurance pays emergency medical expenses, extra travelling expenses to a student's home country, or for a close relative to visit a student abroad in an emergency situation, and in a number of specified cases, ISIS Insurance will also pay the return journey to the language school, if a student should have to go home during the language course.
ISIS
ISIS (International Student Insurance Services) has been established for 50 years and is sold in over 45 countries throughout the world. ISIS is underwritten by Goudse Schadeverzekering N.V. a Dutch insurance company, established in 1924, with branch offices around the world.
ISIS Language insurance offers World Link Total Program students extensive coverage during their participation in WLE's programs:
- Medical cover, including the use of an air ambulance
- Emergency dental expenses
- Extra traveling expenses
- Personal liability
- Pro-rata return of program fees in case of curtailment
- If your insurance period excess 3 months, you are also covered for medical expenses during a one-off visit to your home country
- A 24-hour assistance telephone number for medical emergencies, ready to give help and advice, but also to guarantee payments to hospitals and doctors.

Going abroad as a student is the chance to do something completely different and worthwhile. You are placed in an exciting new environment where you will experience a new culture, make new friends and learn a new language. More and more people choose to come to study abroad to spend one of the most exciting periods of their lives.
But what if something happens? What if you become seriously ill, or are involved in an accident and have to be repatriated home? The financial consequences could quickly reach enormous heights.
The risks that you face cannot be prevented, but ISIS Language Insurance provides coverage to protect you against financial disappointment. This was reason enough for World Link Education to provide you with this insurance, which will help you enjoy your study abroad stay even more, secure in the knowledge that you are covered against the unexpected.
A language course is often quite expensive. Therefore, they will pay a pro rata part of the program fee or if a student should have to cut short his/her stay abroad due to an emergency situation.
They also cover a student's personal liability.* There is additional cover for any damage a student may cause to goods of the language school, to library books and for replacement of damaged locks.
A student's luggage is also covered during their journey there and back. If a student wants, he/she may also expand the insurance to cover luggage during the entire stay abroad.**

What is ISIS Payment-on-the-Spot ?
The ISIS Payment-on-the-Spot system is unique in the world of travel insurance. It enables ISIS insured to travel - in countries where ISIS co-operates with a local organization - without needing extra money to pay for the costs caused by an unexpected illness or accident. All covered medical expenses incurred by doctors, dentists and/or chemists are reimbursed by one of the local ISIS payment-on-the-spot organizations. Or even better: bills are directly paid to the doctor, dentist and/or chemist by the local ISIS payment-on-the-spot organizations.
When to use the ISIS payment-on-the-spot ?
As a World Link student, you can use the ISIS-payment-on-the-spot system whenever you have to visit a doctor, dentist or chemist and your expenses are under USD 1,000. In case of an emergency i.e. if you have to visit a hospital, you should always call our ISIS 24-hour help line. You will find their contact details in the front of your policy.
Description of Coverage
The WLE total program offers the travel and medical insurance cover during your participation in the WLE language total program. The cover is included in your total program fee. Coverage will begin on the specified program start date and the coverage will terminate on the program end date. This program package provides you with the following (see the Table of Benefits below):

- Damage to goods of the language school
- Replacement of locks and liability for library books

For students coming earlier to the program location before the program starts, or staying on after the WLE program, you should extend your ISIS Language insurance up to the moment you intend to leave your home country and/or return to your home country. If you decide to stay in the program location before or after the WLE program, you should extend your ISIS Language insurance up to the moment you intend to leave your home country and/or return to your home country. You can extend your insurance through World Link Education for a small additional fee.
Additional Luggage Cover
Under the WLE program package your luggage is covered during your journey to the program location and back to your home country. If you want, you can expand your insurance to cover luggage during the entire stay abroad by paying an additional fee (see the table below).
Hazardous and Winter Sports Cover
If you plan to go participate in any other hazardous sports like skiing, diving etc. you should purchase the hazardous and winter sports cover from World Link Education at an additional fee (see the table below). For the Martial Arts program, this cover is already included in total program fees.

Emergency Medical Care Provider
Emergency medical assistance in Beijing, China is provided by the Beijing International (SOS) Clinic (ISOS). It is the only clinic in China which has a Clinic, Dental Clinic and Alarm Center adjacent to each other, enabling them to provide the best possible western medical assistance 24 hours a day 7 days a week for Emergencies, Medical Advice, Doctor Referrals, Vaccination Recommendations, Travel Health Advice, Referrals to Hospitals throughout China, House Calls and Translation Services.
In non-emergency situations, services are provided for WLE students at normal clinic prices and can be paid by credit card or cash. Students are registered at the Clinic where their Medical Information (provided by the students) is kept on file. Students may contact the Alarm Center for medical consultation and referrals. Indemnification
Students can be reimbursed for certain non-emergency medical expenses by filling out the ISIS Indemnification Form. For concerns in regards to reimbursement, students should contact ISIS Insurance directly at the ISIS Customer Services e-mail: isisrv@goudse.com For further information, see Claims.
Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions apply to all students who apply to WLE's China Programs
- Travel accident and sickness insurance coverage is optional and offered by ISIS Insurance, and that the purchase of such Language insurance policy is included in the program fee.
- The insurance is between the student and ISIS Insurance, WLE is not a party to the contract. Any claims to be made to ISIS Insurance will be done directly to the insurance company without the involvement of WLE. WLE is not responsible for any injury or loss whatever suffered by the student during periods of the program and during independent travel (which are unsupervised) or during any absence from the university or other WLE - supervised activities.
- Students should acknowledge and agree as a condition of travelling on a WLE program that he/she (and anyone claiming through the student) shall have no rights whatsoever, directly or indirectly, under and theory at law or in equity against WLE.
- WLE and its agents have full authority to take whatever actions they may consider to be warranted due to any international or political unrest, personal emergency or other event regarding the student's health and safety, and he/she fully release each of them from any liability for such decisions or actions as may be taken in connection therewith.
- WLE and its agents, at their discretion, may place the student at his/her own (or his/her parents') expense and without the student's further consent in a hospital for medical services and treatment, or if no hospital is readily available, to place the student in the hands of a local medical doctor for treatment.
