WHAT's included in the TOTAL PROGRAM FEE
WLE's all-inclusive study programs are designed to make your experience in China rewarding and memorable. The following list of items are included in the total program fees.
Information, Advice & Assistance in China
WLE's Office is located in the World Link Center next to the Student Residence. The office is conveniently located right next to the Language Academy (ACLS) classrooms.
A shuttle service runs regularly from the WLE Center to the University Campus. The WLE Team is comprised of experienced international staff from Australia, Sweden, US and China. We offer our students professional and reliable ongoing information and assistance during their stay in China.
Tuition Fees
Tuition Fees for the duration of the program selected are included. Study materials such as prescribed textbooks are provided.
After-Class Tuition
Language program: Language teachers are available after class on weekday afternoons for language coaching, homework assistance and conversational practice.
Martial Arts program: Wushu masters provide open training sessions designed to enhance techniques learned in class.
Accommodation
Accommodation reservations and arrangements are taken care of by WLE staff before the participants arrive in China. Participants choose to live in the WLE Residence rooms or apartments, on campus (for participants attending University only), or at a hotel. Double or single rooms are available. Early applications are advised as accommodations are placed on a first come basis. Accommodation for the entire period of the program is included. Please note for academic year students living in the hotel, the term break between semesters is not included.
Orientation Day
Held on the first day of the program. Includes information briefing (course, banking, medical, etc.) and a tour of the classrooms, teaching facilities, student facilities, WLE Center, and surroundings. Chinese welcome lunch is held followed by the Language Exchange meeting with Chinese students.
Social Events
A wide range of social events held monthly from the Peking Duck Dinner, Games Night (including mahjong), bowling, Karaoke to Chinese cinema night, are an excellent way to meet others while enjoying Chinese cuisine, culture and life.
Student Center & Free Internet Use
The Student Center is equipped with modern facilities including a resource library and computers. Participants can use free internet access to communicate with friends and family abroad. The library offers a wide variety of educational materials on Chinese Language, Business and Martial Arts.
Visa Documentation
When enrollment is completed, participants are given the necessary visa support documents needed to apply for a visa to enter the People's Republic of China. These documents include the Invitation Letter (JW202 Form) and Admission Notice and cover the duration of the program.
Language Exchange Partners Program
The Language and Culture Exchange Program provides interaction with Chinese students on a one-to-one basis. Participants interact with native speakers in language and culture exchange, and schedule to meet at their convenience.
Electives
Participants will take part in elective classes focused on Chinese language, arts and culture such as Calligraphy, Painting, Taiji, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Learning Chinese songs, and Traditional Chinese Massage.
Excursions
Guided tours led by experienced English-speaking guides from CITS (China International Travel Service) to major attractions from the Great Wall, Tian'anmen Square, Summer Palace and Forbidden City. Admission and transport provided.
Airport Reception
Transfer from the airport to accommodation is included. You will be greeted upon your arrival at the airport and accompanied to your accommodation.
Welcome Pack
Includes Mobile phone with local SIM card and pre-paid long distance calling card, a Beijing Map (English & Chinese), Dictionary (updated and easy to use), Beijing Guidebook, Chinese-English reference menu, Telephone Card (50rmb), Discount Card, and monthly publications such as Beijing This Month, and Business Beijing.
Emergency Travel and Medical Insurance
For peace of mind, StudentCare Insurance is included offering emergency travel and medical insurance for the duration of the program. The policy offers emergency medical and dental treatment, pro-rata return of program fee in case of curtailment, personal liability and more. International SOS Membership
ISOS membership gives WLE participants a range of benefits including access to the AEA International Clinic (available exclusively for ISOS members); medical advice and assistance 24 hours a day by foreign doctors in ISOS's alarm centers throughout China; lost document advice and assistance; legal referrals, assistance with documentation for insurance claims and more.
Entertainment Card
Participants are given a 'MY card', Beijing's Entertainment Card. The card offers discounts with over 150 participating restaurants, hotels and entertainment places around Beijing.
Internship / Work Experience
Students enrolled to study for 3 months or longer are offered assistance in seeking work experience with foreign and local corporations. Resumes of internship candidates are forwarded to participating companies, who then select the most suitable candidate. Internship terms and conditions are to be agreed upon by the student and organization.
Monthly Travel
Discounted travel packages offer WLE students an affordable opportunity to travel around China visiting places such as Shanghai, Xi'an, Datong, Zhengzhou (Shaolin Temple) and Inner Mongolia. Full packages for weekend or the week are from US$100 to $300.
Airline Tickets
