They lead projects in Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Hainan, and Hong Kong, and their clients include Time Warner, JP Morgan Chase, Motorola, Dole Food Company, and Estee Lauder.
Mr. Saunders discussed the current trend of Chinese investments by following the “Going Out” Policy. For years now, China has been saving US Dollars without a market to spend it on. Recently the Chinese government has promoted companies to invest in ventures overseas, especially in natural gas and natural resources. Investments by Haier, China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), Petro China, and Sinopec have been some of the companies investing abroad. Lenovo’s purchase of IBM in 2005 and the TCL-Thomson Electronics joint venture in 2004 are just some of the examples of China’s overseas investments.
