Lectures

Held in English, the classroom lectures provide participants with an overview of up-to-date information on China’s current business practices, regulations and procedures. The guest lecturers examine recent reforms on China’s economic and political structures including China’s entry to the WTO and winning bid for the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Lecturers

WLE selects Chinese guest lecturers with a solid, international reputation and in-depth expertise in the Chinese economy, political and legal framework, and business practices.

Professor Gao
Study Martial ArtsProf. Gao has been a professor for China’s leading Business and Economics University since 1972. He has been a guest lecturer at the University of British Columbia, University of Hawaii, Brigham Young University, University of St. Thomas, University of Victoria, Hame Polytechnice, and MITI Institute of International Studies and Training in Fujinomia, Japan.

Prof. Gao has received a number of awards, including China National Book Prize in 1988 for History of Ancient Chinese Architecture, the Paul Chung Memorial Fund Award from University of Hawaii in 1989, and the Distinguished Scholar Award from Brigham Young University in 1993. He has been listed in the 1987 Edition of International Who’s Who and listed in Harvard Business School’s 1994 Edition of International Directory of Business and Management Scholars.

Professor Huang
Study Martial ArtsProf. Huang has been a professor at China’s leading Business and Economics University since 1983. From 1999 to 2001, he was the Economic and Commercial Consul of PRC in Chicago, USA. He was also a guest professor at Tsinghua University, a member of the National Steering Committee on Foreign Language Education, and member of the Committee Verifying the English Edition of Chinese Laws and Regulations.

Prof. Huang graduated from Beijing Institute of Foreign Trade in 1964. He received his Master Degree in English Language and Literature from University of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK in 1980. From 1986 to 1987, he was in Glendon College, York University, Toronto, Canada as visiting scholar.
